Head of Business Development - Country Launch Manager

Eureeca is the first global equity crowdfunding platform, enabling members of its investor network, from casual and angel investors to institutional firms, to buy shares in growth-oriented businesses - while providing operational businesses with crucial access to capital. Eureeca operates in UK, Netherlands, UAE, Malaysia and KSA. With a growing network, currently standing at 12,000 investors, Eureeca offers businesses raising funds a network for capital, marketing, strategic connections, and expansion into new markets. In Malaysia, Eureeca is uniquely placed to provide investors and businesses with opportunities to make global connections.

Responsibilities

Eureeca has raised it's first six-figure funding round, and is expanding in SE Asia, beginning in Kuala Lumpur. The business is already operational in Netherlands, UAE, UK and soon starting in Saudi Arabia; with a view to launching in several other countries by 2020.

What makes Eureeca unique amongst competitors is the single focus on Equity Crowdfunding and access for both investors and businesses to international opportunities. No other regulated platform in Malaysia offers investors the chance to invest in other countries; and other Malaysian crowdfunding platforms cannot offer businesses exposure to investors outside the country.

Malaysia's first team member will be a Head of Business Development, who if successful, may become the Country Manager with a growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • set up Eureeca office in KL
  • focus on Business Development, bringing new businesses on to the platform
    • engaging with SMEs in Malaysia, finding businesses who will benefit from investment
    • guide entrepreneurs and business owners to understand the Eureeca platform
    • demonstrate the opportunities for business to receive investment & marketing
    • Work with Eureeca's international team (HQ in Dubai) to onboard businesses; throughout technical review, Compliance, Finance etc.
  • Assist companies in producing pitch documents for the Eureeca platform (companies upload Financial information, Business plans, Video messages from Founders, Marketing materials etc.)
  • Focus on businesses with large community following / potential to "go viral" - such as Sports, Technology, Lifestyle/Fashion
  • Source HNW investors for the Malaysia platform
    • work with the Investor Relations team in Dubai to manage relationships with top investors - i.e. pitch local Malaysian businesses to them

Requirements

  • University educated
  • English speaker
  • Business Development experience
    • ideally in an environment focused on SMEs; if not you must demonstrate a passion for growth businesses
    • You have excelled or overachieved in a previous BD or Strategic Sales role

  • International experience - Education and/or Professional
  • Worked with/in a startup environment

  • Personable - you enjoy building new connections, have a good sense of humour and win the respect of your clients.
  • Creative - able to find different ways of generating leads, referrals and new business. You are not discouraged if not initially successful - instead you find ways to positively catch the attention of your next client or customer.

Salary range is between $4,000-5,000 USD per month; with commission and company stock on top.
