About Us:

45RICE is a nutrition and food technology start-up. Our mission is to improve lives through nutrition. With the motto, “fortifying every meal”, 45RICE brings essential vitamins and minerals to a bowl of rice, turning empty carbs into healthy carbs.

The idea of 45RICE began in 2016 as a solution to solve the micro-nutrient deficiency problem faced by migrant construction workers who were not receiving adequate nutrition in their daily meals. Now, we are working to expand the use of our fortification technology into new exciting commercial directions while continuing to build upon the social impact we can have to support the 3 billion people in the world facing malnutrition.


Position Description:

We are currently expanding our business into new exiting directions, including an upcoming project in Dubai. The business development manager’s responsibilities will be to strategize high growth business channels that align with the company’s new directions. He/she will be involved with all aspect of growing 45RICE.

Core Responsibilities:

·       Identify new business direction(s) and perform market analysis to quantify growth potential and financial impacts

·       Lead the “proof of concept” initiatives for new business direction(s)

·       Improve the current sales and operation process to achieve efficiency in a high growth environment

·       Source and screen for new sales channels and leads

·       Identify clients’ needs and build a customized product solution that 45RICE can offer to resolve the clients’ pain-points

·       Pitch and close deals from existing and new sales channels

·       Manage the sales team to achieve overall revenue and growth targets

·       Support team where needed to execute projects and other business initiatives


Relevant Experiences and Skills:

·       Minimum 3-5 year of sales and/or business development experience, preferably in B2B

·       Experience in building new business channels and sales pipelines

·       Excellent communication skills, confident personality and ability to understand clients’ needs

·       Fast learner who can adapt to changing situations

·       Can-do attitude, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved in various tasks in a start-up environment


This is a full-time position and based in Singapore.
