Sales & Business Development Associate

vcash is a mobile payments app designed and built from the ground up by the venture building arm of Digi Telecommunications, Malaysia's leading telco. The team is made up of a diverse bunch of people that respect one another in a setting where trust and team work go hand in hand. We dream of a cashless Malaysia and are obsessed about making people’s lives simpler with the help of technology.

We are looking for street-smart individuals to help us grow our partner / merchant network. This is a job for someone that will be brave enough to compete against cash, which is our real threat to existence. You have to be someone that will take great pride in growing a service with the potential to make an impact on millions of users every day.

  • Proactively source, pitch and acquire merchants to partner with vcash (via different channels) 
  • Present vcash as the unique opportunity for businesses
  • Achieve and exceed on monthly and quarterly KPIs
  • Educate merchants on how vcash works and how they can maximise the opportunity through partnering with us
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of your merchants business and adopts a consultative sales approach
  • Take ownership of the full sales process
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of the vcash business model
  • Construct and negotiate offers which meet expectations of vcash, merchants and the customer
  • Utilises internal tools to optimise performance
  • Demonstrates understanding of market trends and social media hot topics
  • Actively carries out research on core segments


  • Excellent communication skills - you must have a consultative sales approach and be a strong persuader and influencer
  • Demonstrable success in high volume an targeted B2B New Business sales
  • Existing experience in canvassing and cold-calling into various types of local businesses, with evidence of consistent and current success
  • Strong relationship builder, has a positive attitude and is a team player
  • A highly driven and ambitious hunter, self-motivated, target orientated and passionate about winning new business
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box – always striving to bring in fresh, exciting and better ideas
  • Resilient, tenacious and adaptable
  • Willingness to learn and work hard 
  • Willingness to grow your salary on commissions - successful candidates will be paid a competitive base salary and incentives / commission
