Role & Responsibility

  • Build an interactive Ruby on Rails website integrating with one or more systems, with strong a focus on web presentation layer technologies, such as JavaScript libraries and CSS.
  • Collaborate with the front end team to integrate new functionalities while implementing new features to the RoR software.
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies, such as stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint planning sessions and backlog grooming.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered during software development and delivery, such as resolving pre and post-production defects.
  • Improve scalability and performance of the current system.
  • Assist other members of the team in their work, such as the design and development of databases, testing, documentation, performance improvement and security best practices.
  • Provide technical problem-solving on issues that arise with existing products or during the creation of new features and content.
  • Build and maintain a reusable code base that can be used across existing and new projects.



  • In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails Framework, Linux and Modern Web Technologies.
  • Ability to write clean, well-formed HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, using pre-processors such as Coffeescript and HAML.
  • Familiar with Rspec as well as Capybara.
  • Smart, analytical thinker who approaches work with logic and enthusiasm.
  • Great team attitude and able to work comfortably with technical teammates as well non-technical individuals.
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study.
